SuperStart Retreat

The event is in Cincinnati on March 17-18, 2023. The focus of this event will include worship, teaching, small groups, and times of games and play. This year’s theme is “Unscripted” from Psalm 62:8. Check out this video link on what SuperStart is all about.

Make sure to fill out the two medical release forms by March 10th!

  • 1.   Cornerstone Medical Release Form: Our church needs to have a release form on file for each student. This is good for one year from the signed date. A few of you may already have one of these on file. Get the Medical Release form at www.quakeyouth.org/medical. Please fill out, save, and send back to mark@ourcornerstone.org.

 

  • 2.    SuperStart (CIY) needs a Medical Release form. I will email these out once they get sent to me.

 

Schedule for the Weekend: 

March 17: Arrive at church to leave at 3:30pm. Come directly after school let’s out. We will stop quickly for dinner somewhere on the way down. Doors open for SuperStart at 6:00pm with event start time of 7:00pm. 

March 18: Back to our church at about 5pm on Saturday (event ends at 3:00pm in Cincinnati).

Sleeping Arrangements: 

We will be staying at Cornerstone Church in West Chester, Ohio (7600 Princeton Glendale Rd, Hamilton, OH 45011). This is the church I went to as a teenager. We will be staying in their Youth Room where guys and girls will be divided. There is a shower for both the guys and girls in their bathroom. It is optional to bring an air mattress if you would like to have one. Make sure to bring a pump if there isn't one built-in. 

 

Meals: 

We will be eating at fast food, ordering food, and/or bringing breakfast. If there are any food restrictions, please notify Mark. Please bring extra money for one fast food stop.

Cell phones - able to use in the vehicles on the way down in the vehicle, check-in with parents before bed, and in the vehicles on the way back. During the conference, phones are to be put away and silenced. 

 

Money:

Event cost is $60.

Meals - all meals but one fast food stop will be covered by the church. 

Spending money - we will have a few hours of free time and students may want to bring some additional money for this. Also, I am sure they will have vendors at the convention that will sell t-shirts, goodies/snacks, journals, etc. Note: any money you give your kids know that they will spend it!
