Transformation Zone is a local mission experience created out of a desire for students to experience missions locally and make an impact in the Central Ohio area. For years, students have gone on mission trips, which they learned that can have the same impact in their own communities. In 2008, a number of youth leaders joined together to create a local mission trip that would make those words a reality and since then, we’ve been doing Transformation Zone. Youth ministries around Ohio gather together in Marysville for a week of serving our community. We go into Union, Franklin, Madison, and Delaware Counties to partner with ministries and share the love of God with our neighbors.

1. What should I do after I register my church online?
You will register your church group first by April 15th. Then give out the website for your participants to register on or after May 1st at 8pm. If you have any questions about the registration process, email Mark at mark@ourcornerstone.org.
2. What should I expect the week to look like?
Transformation Zone is a unique mission trip because students get the opportunity to learn about so many ministries in the Central Ohio area. You will be assigned to a work crew with some people from your church and some people from other churches. You will travel to your work site together and spend the day doing ministry together. In the evening, you will get plenty of chances to hang out with your friends but you will also get the opportunity to worship and learn more about God and his desires for us. Basically, you’re in for an awesome week! Check out our typical daily schedule here.3. Where are we staying?
Everyone sleeps at Cornerstone Church during the week. The facility has showers on site (we recommend them after a hard day of ministry!). The rooms have lots of outlets and air conditioning, so feel free to bring an air mattress or camping mat.4. What ministries do we work with?
We partner with a number of ministries through the Central Ohio area, and each year we find new sites while maintaining relationships with a number of sites from the past. Some of our previous sites included:
Lifeline Christian Mission, puppet ministry, serving meals to homeless in Franklin County, Cannan Mobile Home Park, Mid-Ohio Food Bank, the Bed Brigade (building beds for families in need), DNA of Plain City, Lifeline, VBS at local churches, the Hope Center, and much more. We are currently working on who we will be partnering with this year!
